The 2007 "Invitation to eligible investors to apply for shares in Crest Energy Limited" was oversubscribed, was not offered to the general public, was not covered by the NZ Securities Act 1978 and did not comply with that Act.

Leading New Zealand energy producer and retailer Todd Energy acquired a 30% shareholding in Crest Energy in mid 2009, with the possiblity to extend its holding to 45%.

The March 2010 AGM voted to appoint Hayes Knight as financial auditors for the fifth successive year.
